Project
The annex adds two galleries and a foyer to a nineteenth-century museum. It does not imitate the brick of the old building. It is a quiet monolith of pale limestone, cut into slots where the new meets the old.
Inside, the galleries are top lit. The floor is the same stone as the facade, honed until it reflects the sky without glare.
