Project
House M sits on a sand ridge between cork oaks. The plan is one room deep and runs the length of the plot, so every space meets the loggia on one side and the landscape on the other.
The walls are rammed on site from the soil that was excavated for the pool. Each lift is about twelve centimetres, and the strata stay visible inside and out. A cast concrete roof slab, twenty centimetres thin, cantilevers three metres beyond the walls and does all the work of shade.
